Yes the guy has his own guitar company. I will let him explain all the 'why's' in the video.
Let's check the specs.
The neck is a multi scale with 24 3/4" on the treble side and 25 1/2" on the bass. It has an infinity radius neck. It is double speak for the neck shaped like a cone. This is all meant to be ergonomic.
The bridge is was scratch designed for the guitar as were the PU's and even the knobs. The tuners are gear-less Steinberger.
No between the shock of the new and the shock of the sticker price the old Strat has no worry's, yet. I think this could be the shape of things to come. The 7 string will come late this year and a 6 next year.
My only beef is with the shape of the headstock it looks totally out of place.
The Strat was a major success in a large part because or it's futuristic ergonomic design. At the time with a Les Paul beside it being the accepted look, Fender looked totally insane to bring the Strat out. In short, don't laugh this 'will' be the future of guitars. Unlike guitars like the Strandberg it has almost no learning curve. Even the Ibanez 'pointy' looking guitars are now decades old. Nothing lasts forever. Yes the Ibanez guitars may soon be described as 'Retro'. So far every new shaped guitar that G. Man has made has been a big success once the Sterling, Asian models hit the market.
So these $5000.00 'Ferrari' guitars have their purpose.
