VERTEX UTRA-PHONIX HRM
Dumble lover will already know that a basic Dumble starts with a Fender Deluxe schematic that has been modded. No two were ever alike as each one was modded to suit the buyer and was not even started until it was paid for. All but a few had 6L6 tubes power amp tubes. The standard Vertex Ultra-Ponix was based from the 6L6 amps. The HRM is however a EL34 version. In sort one is Fenderish but this is Marshall like.
CONCLUSION
It is what it is. It is not a Marshal-in-a-Box. Then I want a Marshall sound than I want a Marshall sound.
The standard Ultra-Phonix is I feel the 'classic' Dumble sound and an excellent one too. Just as good sounding dirt box I have zero complaints. Just do not get it if you want that 'Dumble' sound that thousands rave about. Get the standard version.
