    CONCLUSION __

As the guy in the video said this is not 

an MXR clone. It is however a good OD. 

That said the MXR are exceptional which 

to be honest I was surprised. None 

of them sound like Eddies amps but since 

I have never been a fan or a student of the style I just judge Rockstar pedals by the sound.

The defunk Polish brand Exar did both the MD-03 and the MD-04  

which was their take on the Trash Metal Boss MD-2 Metal Zone 

pedal. The D.B. version borrows from all into a nice neat package. 

The layout is comprehensive but complete. It has Level and Gain 

with active Bass, Mids and Treble. 

     CONCLUSION __

The look is understated and yet very functional with 

the clock like divisions for the knob settings. The 

overall vibe is a hot rodded Marshall thing with 

a near cocked Wah mid boost. The harmonic detail 

is impressive the mids are neither melted or even

smeared. Impressive. The price is bang on!!!

Another modded classic from the guys that capture the vibe 

when they clone but literally fix and only fix problems with 

the original. The layout is Level, Gain, BIAS and Sag/input 

level. BIAS on the original was fixed so if it was not on the 

sweet spot it can sound very good but not great. A toggle 

switches from vintage to a modern sound.

     CONCLUSION __

SolidGold Fx have a following and they alone will 

scoop the first batch. I myself have their Fuzz Face

I can get a Fuzz going in OD tone without even

stacking it. It is a killer sound with a Tele.  

The Fuzzbox Vintage sound is to die for and 

the Modern takes it to never, ever-land!!!

In all probability based on one of the Boss dirt pedals. 

Probably the Blues Driver or OD-1.  

The layout is Volume and Gain and a toggle gives it a 

boost, but like the OD-1 it doesn't have a Tone control.

     CONCLUSION __

It virtually is a one trick pony. However that one 

sound is cool and the price is reasonable. 

That said the Joyo Bright Day Blues Driver can 

cover this kind of sound and a lot more for a 

nice and cheap $40.00 USD.
