OVERDRIVES ??? are they all just modified Tube Screamers
Not exactly the point of the video, but I'm always really appreciate how Brian Wampler bread boards a specific circuit and then moves a component around so you can hear the point he's making. Also, I'm really jealous, I'd love to have the materials and, more importantly, the knowledge to play around with a bread board for fun like that.
You should try your hand at making a pedal kit. These days many new brands are just guy and for a couple of years the just modify kit topographies and come up with their own pedals. Some Fuzz pedals have as little as 7 parts on their board but sound great. All you need is a soldering iron a multi tipped screwdriver a cheap drill and a cheap meter, to get creative.
JHS has a good video / tutorial on the Dunlop's Fuzz Face which I also own. Here it costs more than 230 bucks (tax included). Just crazy, especially when you see this few parts on the PCB. But it sounds great, really! I'm owning a newer version than Josh is talking about.
